LUKE POWELL
COACH
Luke attended Texas A&M University in College Station and brings 20 years of experience coaching and playing roller derby. Throughout his two decades in the sport, Luke has developed a strong background in athletic training, teamwork, strategy, leadership, and helping athletes perform confidently under pressure. He is also a two-time gold medal-winning coach, having coached the Men’s Roller Derby Team to gold medals in both Spain and Canada.
In 2013, Luke was introduced to CrossFit—an experience that transformed his perspective on fitness and showed him the powerful role a supportive community can play in helping people grow and succeed.
Luke’s experience both on and off the track has shaped a coaching style centered on encouragement, accountability, and continuous improvement. He enjoys working with athletes of all experience levels, helping them strengthen their skills, overcome challenges, and achieve their fitness and performance goals.
Luke is an Adaptive and Inclusive trainer and coaches for the Adaptive Athletes in Motion (AAIM) program. He is passionate about creating a positive, supportive training environment and can always be counted on to enthusiastically encourage athletes to push themselves and reach their full potential!
